Neeson: 'We take each day as it comes'

Liam Neeson has spoken out about how he and his children are coping since the death of Natasha Richardson.

The 57-year-old actor gave his first interview to ABC programme Good Morning America since his spouse died from head injuries stemming from a skiing accident in March, E! reports.

Neeson told presenter Diane Sawyer that he and sons 13-year-old Daniel and Micheál, 12, are "taking each day as it comes", while he thanked well-wishers for their compassionate messages.

He said: "I'm still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people that's deeply touching. I've been living here for 20 years and America's been very, very good to me.

"I'm still a proud Irishman, of course, but I've become an American citizen. I'm very, very proud of that."

Neeson was on the morning chatshow to promote his work on film Five Minutes Of Heaven, which aired on BBC Two in April and was recently released to US cinemas.
