Cibrian 'committed to being devoted father'

Eddie Cibrian has confirmed reports that he has filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville, insisting that his main priority is caring for their two young sons.

The CSI: Miami star requested a legal separation from former model Glanville earlier this week after eight years of marriage. They are parents to 6-year-old Mason and Jake, 2.

In a statement to People, he said: "From the outset I have made a conscious decision to try and keep this matter private and not discuss it in the press.

"While my wife and I are dissolving our marriage, we will work together to parent our two children. I love my boys very much. I want only the best for them and am committed to being a devoted father."

He added that he will not be doing any interviews on the subject because he wants to be "respectful" and "sensitive" to the "ongoing private matter".

Cibrian recently fuelled speculation that he is romancing his Northern Lights co-star LeAnn Rimes after the couple were photographed golfing together in California.
