Heigl 'has baby shower for Pompeo'

Ellen Pompeo was thrown a baby shower at Katherine Heigl’s house in Los Angeles.

The Grey's Anatomy star is expecting a baby with her husband Chris Ivery.

An source told People: "Ellen looked gorgeous in a white summer dress with her hair in a braided up-do. She seemed very excited to celebrate with her girlfriends."

The baby shower took place in the garden with umbrellas protecting guests sat at decorated tables from the sun. Presents included organic towels with hoods, Kiddopotamus swaddling also made from organic material and a number of toys.

Rebecca Gayheart, Kate Walsh and Sandra Oh were amongst those in attendance.
