Freeman reveals life after rape case

Ben Freeman has revealed that his main priority was to get his career back after being cleared of rape allegations.

The actor, who is now starring in West End musical Dreamboats And Petticoats, saw his 10-year job on Emmerdale as mechanic Scott Windsor come to an end following the rape accusations.

He told OK: "I am still the same person as I was, but my life changed in an instant. My career took a nosedive and my aim was to get that back. I wasn't angry and I'm still not angry. I had different priorities.

"I just wanted my career back. When it all happened, my granddad was ill and was so upset by the whole thing - all I wanted was for him to see me get a job and I've achieved that."

He added: "Now I look at things differently. Trust with people became an issue, I suppose.

"I haven't gone out clubbing or been approached by women, and I haven't gone out looking for anyone. I am not interested in going out on the pull anymore."
