Welch: 'I feel better about my body now'

Denise Welch has revealed that she feels better about her body now than she did ten years ago.

The actress and Loose Woman presenter stripped off for an interview with Bella.

She is quoted as saying: "I feel more confident with myself at 51 than I did at 40.

"I feel good and I wanted to celebrate that - and show that you're not over the hill at 50."

However, Welch admitted that she would consider having surgery, explaining: "The bit I hate is the fatty bit on your chest next to your armpit. Apparently Ulrika Johnson has just had it lipo-ed and I think I'd like to have that done."

Welch recently confessed that she felt "pressure" to be slim when she began her career.

"I was on every diet fad going, even drastic seven-day fasts, which can be so dangerous," she said. "I thought I looked fabulous, but when I look back at my photos, I think it aged me.

"Now that I am in my 50s, I know how the body's metabolism changes and your body's elasticity goes. But I feel sorry for the young actresses who are still under pressure."
