Last week, a Los Angeles coroner announced that the superstar's death is being treated as homicide following weeks of speculation.
According to BBC News, Jackson's death certificate now indicates that he lost his life due to "injection by another".
Leaked documents have suggested that the pop icon's cardiac arrest was triggered by lethal levels of the anaesthetic propofol, which is believed to have been administered by his doctor Conrad Murray.
Jackson also reportedly had a cocktail of other drugs in his body at the time of his death.
The singer passed away in LA on June 25.
