Frankie Sandford: 'McFly fans upset me'

Saturdays star Frankie Sandford has admitted that fans of her boyfriend Dougie Poynter can sometimes be cruel to her.

The 20-year-old singer announced that she was dating the McFly member last year after previously keeping their romance under wraps.

In an interview with Take 5 magazine, Sandford has now revealed that a minority of Poynter's supporters still try to make life difficult for her.

She explained: "Most McFly fans are nice and supportive of our relationship. I still get some jealousy, and it sometimes upsets me.

"It can be a bit scary but you just have to deal with it. We're just careful to keep things low-key in public."

Asked about her flirty reputation, she added: "The girls say it all the time. Dougie knows it's just the way I am. I don't go out to flirt, it's just how I relate to people."

Last month, Sandford confessed that she acts like a "diva" in her relationship with Poynter.
