Keanu Reeves 'agrees to DNA testing'

Keanu Reeves has agreed to submit to DNA testing after a woman claimed that he is the father of at least one of her four adult children.

The 45-year-old's lawyer confirmed that his client had consented to take the paternity test, while the actor was absent from court proceedings held in Barrie, Canada yesterday, according to the Toronto Sun.

"There will be a DNA test done within the next while," Reeves's attorney Lorne Wolfson said.

Court documents show that Karen Sala has asked for $150,000 (£92,000) per month in child support, retroactive from June 1988, and an order for $3m (£1.8m) a month in spousal support, starting from November 2006.

"This is not about revenge or an attack on his good character - it's about closure and getting some peace. This is a personal journey," Sala explained.

Cheryl Maisel, a spokesperson for Reeves, insisted that the star does not know the 46-year-old Canadian woman. Both parties are expected to be back in court on October 16.
