Stars celebrate life of DJ AM at memorial

Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and John Mayer were among the celebrities who attended a memorial service for the late DJ AM last night.

Robert Downey Jr, Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayheart were also present at LA's Hollywood Palladium to celebrate the life of the 36-year-old, real name Adam Goldstein.

Hayley Wood, who began dating Goldstein last year, is reported to have told the audience: "He was my soulmate and now he is my soul. He is my amazing grace."

Ocean's 11 star Scott Caan is also thought to have delivered a speech.

Other celebrities present at the memorial included Dr Drew Pinsky, Samantha Ronson, Tom Arnold and Iron Man director Jon Favreau, as Goldstein had been working on music for the superhero sequel before his death.

He was discovered dead in his New York apartment last Friday, with unofficial reports alleging that he died of a drug overdose.
