McIntyre's autobiography will apparently chronicle his "showbiz upbringing". The 33-year-old's mother was a professional dancer, while his dad was a writer on The Kenny Everett Show.
The stand-up has also been given a second series of his Comedy Roadshow on the BBC, acccording to The Sun.
"Even we were surprised at how well the show did this summer," said a BBC source. "Getting over five million for a show with stand-up comics is impressive because often comics can divide people.
"The great thing is that Michael stitches it together so well. He's likable and that's exactly what we're after on BBC One."
