Wentz, Simpson deny marriage trouble

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have denied tabloid reports that their marriage is on the rocks.

According to Star magazine, the Melrose Place actress and Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz were close to splitting following a recent argument.

However, a representative for the couple told Gossip Cop that the story is "absolutely not true".

Simpson also appeared to refute rumours of a rift on her Twitter account, when she blogged about looking forward to returning home to see her husband and their 9-month-old son Bronx.

Last month, the star was forced to deny allegations that she fought with Wentz during a weekend away in Chicago, saying: "My husband is an amazing DJ and was dedicating songs to me... Our love is amazing."
