Clooney 'pledges £12,000 to Snowdon'

George Clooney has sponsored Lisa Snowdon as she prepares for two fundraising parachute jumps.

The actor donated £12,000 to his ex-girlfriend's cause, Showbiz Spy reports.

The money means that Snowdon has surpassed her original target of raising £5,000 for Shooting Star Children's Hospice and Help A London Child.

A source said: "George was so impressed with Lisa's guts and determination that he wanted to help.

"Lisa had no idea how generous he would be until she logged on to her website and saw how much he put down."

Meanwhile, Snowdon confessed that she is feeling anxious about the jumps.

She said: "I'm a little bit nervous, especially about doing this twice. I don't know if I'll enjoy the first one! But knowing how much this will benefit both of these charities will really help me."
