Sharon Stone sues plastic surgeon

Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone has filed a lawsuit against a plastic surgeon who has spoken about performing a facelift which Stone denies having.

Doctor Renato Calabria told US Weekly and In Touch Weekly that he had given Stone, 46, a facelift. According to the lawsuit, however, "Stone has never undergone a facelift in order to improve her physical appearance".

The lawsuit says that Stone "prides herself not only on her acting ability and other talents, but also on her natural physical appearance" and that negative publicity concerning her physical appearance has had "a damaging impact on a film actress's professional reputation (and her) ability to obtain work in the film industry."

Stone is seeking general, special, actual and punitive damages from the surgeon.
