Price among countryside's most powerful

Katie Price has been named as one of the most influential figures in the countryside.

The glamour model secured recognition from Country Life magazine, which has drawn up a list of the 100 most powerful people in rural communities.

Price features at number 100 in the rankings, appearing behind Zara Phillips (98) and Griff Rhys Jones (97), The Sun reports.

The magazine stated: "The model-turned-equestrienne is a more astute businesswoman than her fluffy pink gilets and red-top exploits indicate. An ambassador for the 2012 equestrian sports, the massive queues at her stand at Badminton and Burghley are testament to her drawing power."

Price visited the Burghley Horse Trials near Stamford, Lincolnshire with her boyfriend Alex Reid last week. She also recently purchased a new horse called Cross Dresser.
