Band Aid 20: Bookies pay out early

The world's largest bookmaker, Ladbrokes, have today closed the book on who will be Christmas Number One. When the market closed, Band Aid 20 had reached record odds of 1/25.
Ladbrokes spokesman, Warren Lush, told DS: " This is the first time that we have ever paid out ahead of Sunday's charts, there is no way Band Aid 20 won't remain top of the tree so we have declared it Christmas Number One five days early. All those who bet on it can collect their winnings now."
The five-figure loser for the bookies could turn into a £1-million disaster if by some miracle the charity number doesn't remain at the top and gain the prestigious title of 'Christmas Number One'.
