Krankie: "I'm fine-dabi-dozi"

Wee Jimmy Krankie is back on the mend after falling from a 20ft beanstalk on Wednesday.

Krankie, real name Janette Tough, was rushed to Glasgow's Royal Infirmary following the incident, which occurred during the matinee performance of Jack and the Beanstalk.

The 57-year-old confirmed yesterday that she had sustained a fractured skull and a broken collarbone but added: "I’m still very sore, but fortunately the doctors have told me I’m going to be fine."

The pantomime has been temporarily suspended but will reopen Monday with new cast members from BBC soap River City.
