The talk show host will make a rare public appearance at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Centre when it opens its new Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute on Monday, Gossip Cop reports.
Letterman was treated at the hospital in January 2000, when a check-up discovered that an artery in his heart was constricted.
He eventually had emergency quintuple bypass surgery.
The talk show host does not normally make public appearances, but is reportedly attending the institute's opening to show his gratitude to the hospital.
