Phillips ex "heartbroken" by Duffy

The ex-girlfriend of rugby star Mike Phillips has revealed her feelings towards his relationship with Duffy.

Claire Evans admitted her belief that the British Lion's hunger for fame is one of the reasons that he is dating the singer.

She recalled Phillips's words to the News of the World: "I want to be the David Beckham of rugby, have a famous wife, loads of money and good health."

Evans admitted that she was "heartbroken" when she first read about Phillips’s and Duffy’s relationship.

She added: "Duffy is welcome to Mike. He has broken my heart and hurt and humiliated me so much."

According to Evans, her and Phillips's relationship, which lasted eight months, ended when he threw her out of his house after living together for a short time.
