Katona 'moves into the attic'

Kerry Katona has reportedly moved into the loft space of her house, which she calls her "panic room".

According to the News of the World, the reality TV star locked herself in the attic after being told by her bank that she cannot remortgage her £1 million Cheshire home or open a new account. She can apparently be heard walking around and talking to herself in the loft.

A source said: "Now she's like a mad woman living in an attic. She is paranoid about anyone going in - even her kids. She won't even let the nanny clean up or change the sheets. It's getting filthy in there.

"There are overflowing ashtrays everywhere, empty bags of crisps and empty bottles of Lambrusco, Coca-Cola and vodka. It stinks like a pub, it's disgusting.

"When anything awful happened, Kerry used to lock herself in the bedroom she and [husband] Mark's shared - but now that has too many bad memories."

Katona accused Mark Croft of planting the camera in her house that led to her being filmed apparently snorting cocaine. She has since been axed as the face of supermarket chain Iceland.
