Matt Damon 'can't forget 9/11'

Matt Damon has revealed that the images of the terrorist attacks on September 11 will forever be ingrained into his mind.

The 38-year-old actor, who was living in New York City in 2001, has said that even though eight years have gone by, he still has vivid memories of the World Trade Centre falling down, reports Female First.

Damon said: "That day is seared into who I am more than I'd even like.

"It was weird because I stepped outside my apartment, looked up and saw it happening and then went back in and just watched CNN because I just wanted information. I remember everything about that day."

Damon's new film The Informant! is to be released in US cinemas on September 18 and in the UK on November 20.
