Tina Fey and Justin Timberlake have both been bestowed with Emmys for their appearances on NBC's Saturday Night Live.

The 30 Rock star was honoured with best guest actress on a comedy series for her portrayal of Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmys on Saturday, reports Contactmusic.

Fey said in her acceptance speech: "Mrs Palin is an inspiration to working mothers everywhere because she bailed on her job right before Fourth of July weekend. You are living my dream. Thank you, Mrs Palin!"

Timberlake, who won his first Emmy in 2007 for his 'D**k In A Box' sketch with Andy Samberg, was granted the best guest actor on a comedy series award for his humourous turn on the late-night show.

The 61st annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air in the US on September 20.
