Del Toro 'partners with Disney for new deal'

Guillermo del Toro has revealed that he has partnered with the company Disney.

According to Empire, the Pan's Labyrinth director will serve as the "creative force" behind the new Disney entity called Disney Double Dare You. The new brand will reportedly create scary animated films for the company.

Del Toro said: "I love to take audiences into fantastic new worlds and provide them with some anxious moments in the process.

"It is part of the Disney canon to create thrilling, unforgettable moments and villains in all their classic films. It is my privilege for Double Dare You to continue in this tradition."

The first project on the new brand will be Trollhunters, which is based on an idea of Del Toro's.
