Smith, Jay-Z invest in Kuti musical

Will Smith and Jay-Z are reportedly among the investors for a new musical on the life of Fela Kuti.

The Oscar-nominated actor and superstar rapper have given the Broadway production a needed lift after rehearsals for the show were postponed due to financial concerns, reports Female First.

Sahr Ngaujah, who played the African music star in the off-Broadway original version, will reprise his role as Kuti in the new musical.
