Kelly Preston: 'I can't talk about Jett'

Kelly Preston has pulled out of a conference where she was due to speak about her son Jett.

Preston was lined up to talk about the grief she and her husband John Travolta have faced since Jett's death in January.

However, she explained that she will not be attending the California Governor's Conference For Women in October because she is still "in the process of healing".

In a statement to People, she said: "It is with my sincere apologies that I must pull out from speaking at the conference.

"I am sorry, but I truly believed that I could do it. Otherwise I never would have said that I could. But I am still deeply in the process of healing, and it's just too soon."

Preston and Travolta recently made their first public appearance since their son's death.
