GaGa kisses Kermit on VMAs red carpet

Lady GaGa arrived at this year's VMAs with Kermit The Frog as her date.

The 'Paparazzi' singer emerged from a stretch limo at the Radio City Music Hall in New York, before leaning back in and kissing Kermit through the window.

GaGa, who was sporting a gold face mask and black feathers, then hit the red carpet with Kermit, who was dressed in a tux.

The pair kissed again for the cameras as GaGa remarked: "You're so handsome tonight, Kermit. Miss Piggy has been sending me some pretty funny text messages, though. She was wondering if it was going to be another late night."

She later told reporters: "My goodness, I'm so nervous around him. I'm really happy to be here with my date Kermit."

Kermit insisted that his relationship with Piggy was solid and that he and GaGa are "just friends".

Earlier this year, GaGa stunned German fans by wearing an outfit made entirely from Kermit The Frogs.
