Crawford laughs off Momsen, Lohan rumours

Chace Crawford has laughed off rumours that he once romanced his Gossip Girl co-star Taylor Momsen.

The actor, who plays Nate Archibald in the CW drama, was linked to Momsen earlier this year after the pair were allegedly seen kissing.

Speaking to OK, he said: "That's hilarious. It's funny she's only a 16-year-old girl and she's been thrown into this insane universe.

"Any rumours about us are obviously absurd. I knew people would say that as soon as we had a scene together. We had a moment in the second season where we shared a moment, a kiss. And it was like here it comes, here comes the speculation, it's going to happen."

Crawford also dismissed speculation that he had been receiving sexy text messages from Lindsay Lohan, saying: "I'm not sure where that came from because we've been friends and known each other as acquaintances for years and there's definitely nothing romantic.

"I'm friends with Samantha [Ronson] and she's lovely. I wouldn't do anything to disrespect her or Lindsay. I think they're phenomenal."
