Brand 'spotted with Katy Perry after VMAs'

Russell Brand was allegedly spotted with Katy Perry after the MTV VMAs.

The comedian was reportedly seen kissing the singer at Lady GaGa's after party at New York nightspot Avenue.

A source told the New York Post: "They were sitting together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn't look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself."

Despite this, Brand had earlier admitted that he was hoping to sleep with the 'Just Dance' star.

Referring to GaGa's eccentric outfits at the awards ceremony, he said: "Lust is one of the deadly sins so there was no lust. But when Lady GaGa had on her bird's nest outfit and then went on to be wrapped in the red stuff, she's incredible. I'd be all over that. She'd go all night."

Brand also later defended Kanye West's infamous rant at the event, insisting that "everybody makes mistakes".
