The Hills star, who celebrated her 23rd on Tuesday, told People that she was thrilled with the 9-week-old maltipoo.
"Spencer gave me the best gift ever, a maltipoo puppy that we have named Dolly," she said, adding that the dog was named after Dolly Parton.
"I'm so excited today is my birthday. Thank you God for every moment you have given me and blessing me with my wonderful husband."
Montag also celebrated with dinner at Wolfgang Puck's CUT restaurant at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire hotel.
