Katie Price: 'I need a cancer scan'

Katie Price has announced that she will soon have a cancer scan following advice from her doctor.

The glamour model, who had a cancerous growth removed from her finger in 2003, has agreed to attend a hospital appointment to check that she is still free of the disease.

Price told OK: "I'm having a cancer scan and I'm not looking forward to it. The doctor said I should have one because the cancer I had before was linked to stress and because I'm stressed again. It takes three hours and they inject you with iodine.

"They check for all kinds of cancer. I'm not saying any more about it because I know people will twist it and say I'm talking about it to get sympathy or something."

It is thought that the 31-year-old believes her "stress" is a result of splitting from Peter Andre in May.
