Whitney Houston 'still tempted by drugs'

Whitney Houston has said that she still fights the urge to take drugs.

The singer revealed that she cannot stop thinking about crack cocaine and marijuana - substances she admitted to taking while she was married to singer Bobby Brown - but affirmed that she now turns to God whenever she feels tempted.

She told US TV host Oprah Winfrey in the second part of her tell-all interview: "Don't think I don't have desires for it. It takes me a minute to cleanse. I have to pray it away. I take things one day at a time. If I get weak, I know who I can turn to. I know God loves me."

Houston went on to say that while she still sometimes drinks alcohol, she is now completely free from drugs.

The star, who divorced Brown in 2007, added: "My only concern was my daughter and her perception of her father. But the internet let her know things. She said, 'No. Divorce him. Let him go'."
