Jim Carrey 'dismisses wedding rumours'

A spokesperson for Jim Carrey has dismissed speculation that the actor married girlfriend Jenny McCarthy during a private ceremony in Malibu earlier this month.

The 47-year-old was rumoured to have pledged his love and commitment to the former model at a small family celebration.

However, a source told the National Enquirer that the ceremony was not an official wedding service, saying: "The vows basically said that they would 'be forever in love' with one another and that they would always be together.

"For the two of them, it was as good as a marriage ceremony."

Carrey's representative Marleah Leslie denied the report as "not true".
