Gosselin 'sends puppies back to breeder'

Jon Gosselin has reportedly confirmed that he has returned his two German Shepherd puppies to their breeder.

Speaking to E! News, the father-of-eight alleged that he was giving up dogs Shoka and Nala because estranged wife Kate refused to care for them during her time at home with their kids.

"It's not fair to the dogs to not be wanted in their own home," he explained.

The 32-year-old had previously blasted allegations that the animals were being mistreated, telling People: "[They are] loyal companions who we consider members of our family. We would never do anything to hurt them and treat them with the respect and love that they deserve."
