Man 'jailed for attacking Seacrest security'

A man has been jailed after allegedly attacking Ryan Seacrest's personal security guard.

Chidi Uzomah will be charged with assault and battery and weapons possession following claims that he choked and fought with the American Idol host's bodyguard, according to TMZ.

The 25-year-old is said to have followed Seacrest to his car after the presenter gave him an autograph at The Children's Hospital in Southern California.

Uzomah supposedly positioned himself between Seacrest and his vehicle, while the minder attempted to block him prior to the incident transpiring. He was arrested by Orange County police, who discovered a switchblade on his person. He is being held on $25,000 (£15,270) bail.

It was reported earlier that an Australian woman was jailed for 26 months for stalking Idol finalist Diana DeGarmo via the internet.
