Oliver: 'Jools and I argue a lot'

Jamie Oliver has revealed that he and his wife Jools argue a lot.

The chef insisted that the pair were not "the perfect couple" that the media portrays them as.

Oliver told the Daily Mail: "We're a normal couple. We get on each other's wick every day for a few hours, and love each other every day for a few hours.

"I know we're often painted as the perfect couple, but we row about everything - time, work, getting home at certain times, going out with mates, or not. I hardly get any time with my mates. Everything I plan to do for myself at the weekend never happens."

He also said that he didn't initially understand Jools's wish to just be a mother, continuing: "Why would you want to be a mother? We all want to have jobs and careers, don't we? Everyone around me was the same. Until she became a mother, I never understood how honest she was being."

Jamie and Jools Oliver are parents to three daughters - Poppy, 7, Daisy, 6, and 5-month-old Petal.
