Thurman 'pondering return to Hollywood'

Uma Thurman has revealed that she thinks it's time to return to Hollywood.

The Kill Bill star has admitted that she is worried she will "choke her career to death" if she does not leave New York, where she has lived exclusively for the last few years.

Thurman told W magazine: "I am a mother, but I need to do what I'm good at doing. Even your kids need you to be who you are.

"I've been living at home for work for a long time. If I don't leave soon, I'm going to literally choke my career to death."

The 39-year-old actress, who has two children with actor Ethan Hawke, has also said that life has taken her by "surprise" and that she is in no rush to set a date to marry businessman Arpad Busson.

She said: "I feel like I lived my life backwards. Getting older has been a process of realising I wasn't as grown up as I had thought. I've certainly learned the hard way.

"And that's kind of nice, to realise that just when you think you've figured it out, life surprises you."

Thurman added: "I'm happily engaged, but we haven't set a wedding up. I'm not in a rush to do anything. One day we'll do it, when we're ready."
