Nicole Richie 'ready to marry Joel Madden'

Nicole Richie has reportedly revealed that she would like to marry Joel Madden.

The 27-year-old former reality star, who has admitted she always dreamed of getting married, has allegedly been so affected by the tragic death of her ex-fiancé DJ AM that she is considering committing to Madden in the near future.

A source told The National Enquirer: "Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She's so happy with him and their little family that she didn't feel the need to change the way things were between them.

"But when Adam died, she freaked out. She realised life is fragile and short. She doesn't want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel's wife."

The 36-year-old, real name Adam Goldstein, was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in his New York apartment last month.

Richie has a 20-month-old daughter and a newborn son with Madden.
