Garner 'plays on-set pranks on Gervais'

Jennifer Garner has played a series of pranks on Ricky Gervais while filming The Invention Of Lying.

The Office creator reportedly set strict conditions on set for the cast and crew that included a ban on chewing gum, mobile phones and loud noises, reports Female First.

Co-director Mathew Robinson said: "Ricky had a few specific rules on-set... In the middle of taping, Jen’s cellphone went off, and she pretended it had happened accidentally. Ricky got really annoyed.

"All of a sudden, Jen started chewing gum and Ricky’s going, 'What are you doing?' And then she snorted. He didn’t catch on until the entire crew started laughing."

The Invention Of Lying is co-directed by Gervais and Robinson, and will be released in cinemas on October 2.
