Simpson 'calls off search for dog'

Jessica Simpson has called off the search for her dog.

The maltipoo named Daisy was snatched by a coyote earlier this week, but Simpson later said that she was hopeful her pet would be found.

However, The Sun reports that she has now decided to stop looking.

"They concluded the search and are not continuing it at this time," Simpson's spokesperson said. "There are no leads.

"They wanted to feel they gave it their best efforts. They felt chances were slim from the beginning.

"Apparently [coyotes] are quite an issue in that area."

Daisy was a present from Simpson's ex-husband Nick Lachey.
