The singer was allegedly bringing a case against Georgette Civil after she allowed the press to buy intimate notes from the star to Blake Fielder-Civil from her last year.
However, Winehouse has reportedly agreed not to sue Civil for $75,000 (£50,000) to satisfy Fielder-Civil's demands for the divorce settlement.
Civil recalled her son's words to the News of the World: "He told Amy, 'My mum's only a hairdresser. That's one of the conditions [of the divorce settlement], that you leave my mum alone so there is no more rift with the families.
"Amy said she'd deal with it immediately, which is amazing. We've all been to hell."
Civil has also said that her son wants Winehouse's love rather than her money.
