Chloe Madeley: "I could have died"

Chloe Madely has admitted that she could have died when she crashed her car earlier this year.

Madeley, who had been drinking alcohol before the accident, has since been banned from driving for 20 months.

"I knew I'd been drinking but I felt absolutely fine to drive," Now quotes her as saying. "I thought if you felt sober it was okay.

"I was a corner away from home. There was a Mini parked on the side of the road with its back wheel at a 90 degree angle. I noticed it a second too late.

"My front wheel collided with it and somehow flipped my car. It luckily ended up in a perfect parking space on the other side of the road, but on its roof.

"If I'd been a little forward, backward or to the right I could have died."

However, Madeley explained that she had been lucky enough not to sustain any major injuries.

"I had a huge mess of a shoulder from where the seatbelt was," she said. "I also cut my foot crawling out. But amazingly they were my only injuries."
