Krasinski opens up about Blunt proposal

John Krasinski has spoken out about his recent engagement to Emily Blunt, admitting that he was "nervous" about popping the question.

The Office star and Blunt, who have been dating for a year-and-a-half, confirmed that they were engaged last month.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at last night's Emmy Awards, he joked: "We were here in LA and there were unicorns and oceans and clouds! It was very casual. I was nervous and the whole nine yards.

"She did cry after I cried and we cried and then everyone around us was crying. Then, I think people weren't really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying.

"But it was great. At the end of the day she said yes which is great. It's a big part of this whole thing."

When asked if the couple were ready to start a family, he replied: "Not soon. I think we're going to take our time with that, hopefully."

He added that they had not set a date for the wedding yet.
