Lucinda Williams marries on stage

Lucinda Williams has married boyfriend Tom Overby during a concert in Minnesota, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The singer-songwriter tied the knot with manager Overby in front of family, friends and 1,500 fans at the legendary First Avenue venue in Minneapolis on Friday.

The 56-year-old performed a 90-minute set before the minister and groom took to the stage. The event also featured a reading by her father, poet Miller Williams.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were reportedly showered with confetti as the band played Keith Richards's 'Happy'.

This is the second marriage for Williams, who was inspired to wed on stage by singer-songwriter Hank Williams, who married his second wife during a New Orleans concert.
