Jennifer Lopez sued by ex-husband

Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband Ojani Noa is suing the Shall We Dance star for wrongly firing him from his position as manager of her restaurant.

Lopez was married to Noa for a year in 1997 and offered him the job of managing her California restaurant Madre's. In view of the offer he quit his managing position at the popular Conga Room Los Angeles nightspot. Lopez is said to have promised not to dismiss him "without good cause or reason".

The offer was then rescinded by Lopez, possibly because her then fiance Cris Judd disapproved of the appointment.

When he was finally hired by J-Lo in 2002 he went on to be fired from the $208,000 a year job that October, the same month that she became engaged to Ben Affleck.

Noa is now seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit states: "Mr Noa tried to call Ms. Lopez to find out what prompted this sudden change of events. His calls went unreturned."

To show her more humanitarian side, J-Lo is to spend Christmas Day aiding charities and homeless shelters.
