Jennifer Hudson: 'My son is so precious'

Jennifer Hudson has admitted that she found it hard to leave her baby son at home for her performance on VH1's Divas.

The Oscar winner, who gave birth to Daniel David Otunga in August, told Access Hollywood that she found the separation difficult.

"It's always hard. I [have got to] get adjusted to it because, it's like I don't [want to] ever leave him. He's so precious," she explained.

The singer, who appeared in the third season of American Idol, also confessed that she had just learned about Ellen DeGeneres being named the new permanent judge on the Fox reality show.

"I guess I've been tucked away with the baby because I was like, 'Really?' I love Ellen... [She's] hilarious and who [doesn't] love her," she said.

Hudson is engaged to boyfriend David Otunga, who is known as 'Punk' from reality show I Love New York 2.
