Colin Farrell "can be lonely"

Alexander star Colin Farrell has revealed that he is prone to feelings of loneliness.

The womanising actor has said that he can feel lonely bereft of a meaningful relationship with a serious girlfriend, reports New magazine. His previous conquests boast Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Demi Moore in their number.

He said: "I can be lonely. I can feel sad and sometimes not really know why. That's my nature, but it's cool."

Despite looking for love, Farrell is anxious that his love for women may not guarantee his status as boyfriend material: "I'm anxious to fall in love and find a good woman to spend time with, but I don't know how good I would be at making the relationship work. That's still a bit of a worry for me.

"I've been working a lot the last few years and that also makes it more difficult. I guess I'll have to wait until it happens."
