Brian McFadden: 'I still want custody'

Brian McFadden has reaffirmed his commitment to securing custody of his two daughters.

The former Westlife singer first vowed to take Molly, 8, and Lilly-Sue, 6, into his care following his ex-wife Kerry Katona's cocaine scandal last month.

However, last week it was reported that Katona expected her ex-partner to back down and did not believe a custody battle would take place.

Writing on Twitter, McFadden announced: "Hate to do this but need to clear up false rumours! First, I am still seeking custody of my children."

The star also addressed reports that he is planning to rejoin Westlife and enter the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

He wrote: "Second, I am NOT going in the jungle. Oh yes other rumours! I'm not rejoining Westlife and I'm not starting a new boyband."

Referring to Keisha Buchanan's shock departure from Sugababes, he then joked: "I did however apply for the Sugababe roll [sic] but apparently I didn't get it due to lack of experience!"

McFadden and Katona tied the knot in 2002 but split nearly three years later.
