Women 'offer Barrowman their wombs'

John Barrowman has claimed that women often come up to him offering to rent out their wombs.

The Torchwood star, 42, said that he is interested in starting a family with his partner Scott Gill and claimed that they would consider various options in order to have children together.

"I love spending time with other people's children, but I definitely want my own. It's something I have spoken about with my partner Scott many times," he told Love It magazine.

"I am 42 now and it would be fantastic to start our own family. We have considered surrogacy, and I'm not joking when I say that quite a few women have offered to rent me their womb to rent and bare a child."

He added: "Some of them even insist that they want me to do the actual deed in bed, rather rely on artificial insemination. Even though I am gay, I wouldn't rule it out - give me some Viagra and a blindfold and you never know what might happen!"

When asked about the possibility of adoption, he said: "I do know that we almost certainly want to adopt a British child. Celebrities such as Madonna and Angelina Jolie adopted tots from African and Asian countries. However, I believe there are thousands of unwanted children from these shores that really deserve a loving home, too."
