AFP photographer Yuri Cortez and Rolando Aviles, from Costa Rican newspaper Al Dia, have claimed that the stars' bodyguards fired shots at their car after they refused to surrender their equipment.
The lawsuit, which also named AFP as a plaintiff, is seeking at least $1 million in damages.
Cortez and Aviles have reportedly accused the couple of negligence and carelessness in relation to the incident, which happened at Bundchen's holiday home in April, claiming that they hired improperly trained security guards despite likely knowing there was a media interest.
The lawsuit also stated that although neither man was hit by a bullet, they suffered continued physical and mental harm in the attack. Cortez and Aviles both added that they are not paparazzi.
An agent for Brady declined to comment, claiming that he had not seen the court papers, while Bundchen's representative said that she did not comment on her client's private life.
