The 18-year-old, who recently scored two number one hits with her first two singles 'Mama Do' and 'Boys and Girls', said that she is not about to forget her roots.
In an interview with Bliss, the singer said: "I spotted an ad in The Stage newspaper for my first manager and he introduced me to lots of people and opened all the doors for me. My mum was a bit wary at first, but thankfully she went along with it in the end."
Despite her newfound fame, Lott insisted that her friends do not treat her any different.
"I'm still exactly the same person and I think I always will be," she added. "I've got a big bunch of close mates and everyone's really excited that it's all going so well."
