Jude Law becomes father for fourth time

Jude Law has become a father for the fourth time after model Samantha Burke gave birth to a baby girl, according to reports.

The British actor, who met Burke while filming Sherlock Holmes in New York last year, discovered that his former partner was pregnant two months ago.

At the time, he issued a statement saying: "Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year.

"Mr Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life."

Speaking to People, a representative for Burke said: "Samantha is overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her beautiful and healthy baby girl Sophia. The baby and mum are doing wonderful."

Law, 36, already has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost. He is currently starring in a Broadway production of Hamlet.
